The Kildare Show 2010
Over the years the Show has grown steadily to become the major showcase of nursery stock and associated products in Ireland.
The first Show in 1986 was held on Rentes Nurseries, Moyvalley Co. Kildare. There were 29 exhibitors, including the Kildare Growers and twenty sundry suppliers. As the number of exhibitors grew, the demands on infrastructure did likewise and after just four years the show moved to Goffs Paddocks, which was to become home for the next fifteen years. Again due to continued growth the show moved location in 2004 to the recently built Punchestown Event Centre. For the first time over 50% of the show was now under cover, while the sizeable outdoor area contained large nursery exhibits, machinery and purpose built marquees. The show has always played host to many U.K. exhibitors, but a more recent trend has seen a growth in continental interest from Belgium, Holland and Italy. The Kildare Trade Show continues to provide a worthwhile platform from which companies can promote their latest innovations.
